Vinland Saga season 2 episode 10 is set to air on Monday, March 13, 2023. The tenth installment will see Thorfinn make a decision to commit to a new path of rebirth.

While his wartime days are over, he still has nightmares that remind him of what happened on the battlefield. He also misses his family.

The Cursed Head

Vinland Saga season 2 episode 10 – The Cursed Head – is an emotional and insightful episode. It reveals the real development of two crucial characters in the series, Thorfinn and King Canute.

In this episode, Thorfinn swears revenge after the death of his father, a legendary Viking warrior. He joins Askeladd’s mercenary group to challenge him in a duel, and ends up caught in the middle of a war for the crown of England.

The episode begins with a flashback to the day of the birth of Ylva, Thors’ first daughter. He reminisces about her birth and the name he gave her.

Later, Thors takes on a group of Askeladd’s men in a battle singlehandedly. He easily defeats them and impresses Askeladd by winning without killing any of them.

Atop of the cliff, one of Askeladd’s archers aims to shoot Thors in anger. However, his comrades stop him from shooting. In the end, Thors successfully defends himself and his family while leaving Askeladd a bloody mess.

Einar’s Revenge

After being rescued from slavery, Einar returns to Northern England to start his life anew. But after his mother and sister are brutally killed, he finds himself alone and without anyone to help him.

Luckily, Einar meets Thorfinn, and the two of them begin to work together in the fields. Their friendship grows as they both struggle to overcome their pasts.

Thorfinn’s dream about climbing a cliff and being dragged down by hands comes to mind, which leads him to swear off violence and want to be reborn. He also starts crying, feeling guilty for what he’s done. It’s a moment that brings home the depth of the pain and trauma that these characters have experienced, and it’s a great example of how the manga’s Slave arc is adapted in this anime.

King Canute’s Revenge

Vinland Saga is an anime series that’s based on the manga of the same name by Makoto Yukimura. It’s directed by Shuuhei Yabuta and produced by Studio MAPPA.

The show follows Thorfinn Karlsefni, a Jomsviking warrior who fought to avenge his father’s death by killing mercenary leader Askeladd. But after he dies in a battle, Thorfinn begins to reevaluate his life.

This is where the series gets a lot of its heart and soul. It’s about how a man can go from a boy to a prince, and what that means for his people and their culture.

During this time, Thorfinn also grows a strong relationship with his new foster father, Canute. He even takes a lead role in helping Canute to rule, but that relationship is cut short when Askeladd kills Canute’s closest advisor and guard Ragnar.

Despite being unable to avenge his father’s killing, Thorfinn vows to seek revenge against Askeladd. This becomes a huge part of his life, and his rage is now an important piece of him.

The Battle of Sverkel’s Farm

In Vinland Saga season 2 episode 10, Ketil’s father, Sverkel, gets into an argument with his son. Both of them are worried about the health of their father and how he is managing the farm.

Sverkel asks Snake if thieves really come to the farm, and Snake confirms that they do. He then goes on to say that he and his mercenaries are actually the ones who keep the farm safe.

Finally, Snake tells him that it would take Harald’s army a few days to get to the farm, and he and his men are the only ones who can do it. Despite this, Sverkel refuses to ask them for help.

The battle of Sverkel’s farm may be small in comparison to the larger battles that occur throughout the episode, but it is certainly a significant part of the story. It is also a reminder that even in a small way, a person’s life can impact the future.
