"Top 10 battles between Arch-Rivals

  1. Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster (Fairy Tail)

Next in the list of Top 10 battles between Arch-Rivals, since they were mere kids, they were very often getting them involved in a brawl with each other. It was like they search for the reasons to fight each other. As they grew up, Natsu scored a notch above Gray and the distance between their powers increased, until Gray inherited his father’s powers and become the Demon Slayer. He learned the true form of Natsu as he being the E.N.D and brother of Zeref. He took him on with rage and they both clashed like the Titans. Their clash of fists and collision of powers was finally stopped by the intervention of Erza.

  1. Ash Ketchum and Gary Oaks (Pokémon)

In my early days, I was a great fan of Pokémon and if one rivalry that I enjoyed the most was the healthy rivalry between Gary and Ash. Ash has always fallen behind Gary and chased his shadow everywhere from one Gym to another, till they faced each other at Johto League. With the powers of his most reliable Pokémon, Charizard he was finally able to defeat Gary, thus ending the rift between them and earning the utmost respect of Gary.

  1. Izaya and Shizuo (Durarara)

Izaya and Shizuo can be regarded as the characters that are the faces of the same coin, coz their personality is certainly totally opposite. At one hand Izaya a calm person and emotionally detached while Shizuo is the stoic person who uses brute force to get his things done. Their fight is more like based on the jealousy and in the end both of them gets separate. With Izaya mentioning in his book how he fears Shizuo and vows never to return to Ikebukuro.

  1. Ichigo and Grimmjow (Bleach)

The fight between was the last battle in the series between the substitute Shinigami. The battle was to settle the scores for once and all and Ichigo wanted to fight this battle on even ground so he asks Orihime to heal them. They fought in an open complex ground, going all out and giving their best. Finally, Ichigo strikes Grimmjow with Zabngpakuto and when he was falling in the sky, he caught him and placed him on the ground, thus sparing his life. a deserving candidate in the list of Top 10 battles between Arch-Rivals.

  1. Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo (BNHA)

In the 3rd season of Boku no hero Academia. Bakugo and Midoriya finally went toe-to-toe and squabbled against each other to much heart’s content of Bakugo, who was waiting for this moment since he discovered Midoriya’s quirk. The battle was intensifying and at one point it looked Midoriya is on the verge of disposing his fears along with Bakugo and shock fans by his early adroitness but Bakugo didn’t let that happened and soon turned the tables in his favor. He pinned his arch-rival on the ground and proclaimed victory. They fought just like fighters fighting in a kengan match.

  1. Jin and Mugen (Samurai Champloo)

Sword clashing against sword is just what you want and expect from an anime that is typically set up on the pillars of Samurai. Both the proficient swordsman squared against each other in the opening episode of Samurai Champloo and made fans never to miss an episode in future. Jin with his Japanese background and skills went on a rampage with Mugen who used hip-hop moves while fighting. More like Eddy with a sword! The match failed to reach its conclusion as it was interrupted by Fu.

  1. L and Light (Death Note)

The next candidate in this list of Top 10 battles between Arch-Rivals. The battle between the smartest characters in the anime world surely requires you to sharpen your brain to that level, where you can actually understand the whole plot. Light thought he was invincible and no one would be able to get to know about his secret, but he forgets that the greatest detective in the world, L was hot on his pursuit. After several challenges and gauntlets, L fell victim to Light, but not until he was successful in unmasking him.

  1. Naruto and Sasuke (Naruto)

A battle between enemy turning friends is a battle between the most celebrated duos in the Anime universe. There are many occasions in the series where they clashed with each other to reach several conclusions. They fought to see who is the strongest, they clashed when they weren’t on the same page and they even fought when one among them becomes a threat. Their battle heated up by the intensity, at one point they might be seen fighting silently but in another moment, they could be seen shouting each other’s name to prove their dominance and electrify the battle.

  1. Goku and Vegeta (Dragon Ball)

Now the battle between these two, I would classify them at the next extreme level. Their fight might resemble close to Achilles fighting with Hercules. Vegeta always dreams of surpassing Goku, so that’s why he keeps on challenging Goku. I don’t know why but it seems like the entire fight goes in 2x speed. Guess what Shouting increases their powers, as their entire fight is just both of them shouting and doing powerful moves. This is ridiculous!

  1. Gintoki Sakata and Takasugi (Gintama)

Topping the list of Top 10 battles between Arch-Rivals is from Ginatama, though It wasn’t a battle. It wasn’t a brawl. It was a clash between the two most astounding and scintillating character of Gintama. Gintoki and Takasugi got involved in the sword clash with adversity. With all the mocking by Takasugi was firing up Gintoki as he proclaimed that he is far superior to him. They continued their bloody and battered fight, as the fight was reaching the conclusion. Gintoki and Takasugi attacked for the final time, with Takasugi acknowledging his former comrade’s strength and Gintokicollapsed to the ground. He is one hell of a swordsman as well Also Read: Boku no Hero Academia 295Also Read: One piece chapter 998 manga"
