Mashle: Magic and Muscles is an eccentric new series that will take fans to a magical world where the worth of everyone is determined by their physical strength. This off-kilter fantasy is based on the popular manga of the same name by Hajime Komoto.

Crunchyroll Announces Anime Adaption of Hajime Komoto’s Mashle Magic and Muscles

Anime fans will be happy to know that Crunchyroll has announced that it is working on an anime adaptation of Hajime Komoto’s Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga. The anime adaptation is set to debut in 2023 and will simulcast weekly episodes on Crunchyroll to over 200 territories and countries immediately following its premiere in Japan.

The anime will be directed by Tomonari Tanaka, the director of last year’s Engage Kiss anime. Yousuke Kuroda will be responsible for the scripts, and Hisashi Higashijima will provide character designs. The show’s music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama.

The series takes place in a magical world where magic rules every aspect of life, but Mashle Burnedead is born without any magical powers and must use his physical strength to survive. He then goes to the prestigious Easton Magic Academy, and even though he doesn’t have any magic powers, he is determined to become a Divine Visionary so that he can help protect his adoptive family.

Anime Adaption Completes

Adapting an existing manga is an important part of the anime industry, and it's a great way to attract new fans. But it's also a difficult process, as there are many aspects to consider.

In particular, the biggest challenge is finding a manga that is still being published. This can be hard for some series, especially if the mangaka isn't actively working on it anymore.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a manga by Hajime Komoto that has been published since 2020 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story is set in a magical world where people's place in society is determined by their skill and power with magic.

The protagonist, Mash Burnedead, doesn't have any magic to speak of, but spends his days training and bulking up in the forest. After he is abandoned by his family, Regro Burnedead adopts him and begins teaching him self-defense.

The series follows Mash as he strives to become a Divine Visionary and save the life of his adoptive father. In order to do this, he must master "muscles magic"--a control of his muscles so complete that it allows him to perform feats that defy nature's laws.

New Trailer Released

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime. This eccentric series is based on Hajime Komoto’s manga of the same name, which began serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since January 2020.

The story follows a boy who is born without magic, so he is considered a threat to the gene pool. He secretly trains his body in the forest, trying to build muscle strength so he can compete with magic users.

But when he is discovered, his peaceful life gets threatened. So he decides to go to a magic school where he can compete against the best and brightest of his age.

It’s a world where the worth of a person is determined by their ability to use magic. But that doesn’t mean a boy with no magic can’t compete against the strongest in the universe.

Release Date Set for April 2023

The Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime adaptation will begin airing on Crunchyroll in April 2023. The anime, which is based on Hajime Komoto’s popular manga of the same name, tells the story of a magical world in which an individual’s position within society is defined by their skill with magic.

The series centers on Mash Burnedead, a young man who has no magic in his blood and decides to attend a magic school, determined to prove that muscles can beat magic.

The anime is being developed by A-1 Pictures, with director Tomoya Tanaka (Engage Kiss, Cyberpunk Edgerunners) overseeing production duties. Other key members of the team include composer Masaru Yokoyama and character designer Hisashi Toshima. The anime will also feature Chiaki Kobayashi as Mash’s voice actor.
