With the Evening Festival arc wrapped up, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 brings back Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushigoro, and Nobara Kugisaki to the present timeline. However, the calm doesn’t last long as battles begin to erupt.

Aoi Todo and Mei Mei suggest to the Jujutsu higher-ups that Itadori, Fushigoro, and Kugisaki be promoted to first-grade jujutsu sorcerers.

Yuji Itadori is a headstrong character who drives the plot forward with his nerves of steel and bold physical strength. However, he’s also a sensitive soul who feels deeply for the people around him. Those traits have made him the hero fans love to root for and an even greater hero in the face of his biggest conflict yet.

This episode adapts chapter 64 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which falls between the Hidden Inventory arc and the Shibuya Incident arc. The story follows a girl who approaches Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, hoping they can help her get his attention.

Meanwhile, Gojo, Geto, and Riko battle the Time Vessel Association to stop them from kidnapping Kuroi. While the battle goes well, Gojo is shocked to learn that his attacker was born with a Heavenly Restriction and has a heightened physical prowess. He decides to fight the spirit while taking Kuroi to Tengen’s.

Yuji and Ozawa

Yuji is approached by a girl named Ozawa, who has been harboring a crush on him since they were in middle school. She shows him a picture of herself and Itadori from six months ago, and he struggles to believe that the woman before him is the same as the one in the photo.

She decides to meet with him again and heads to a restaurant, where she explains how much she likes him and wonders whether or not Nobara also has feelings for him. Nobara is hesitant and claims that she doesn’t, but Ozawa tells her that she knows that Itadori is really in love with her.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming episode, which is set to air on August 31st. It will premiere on Crunchyroll for audiences around the world, and is expected to hit other platforms such as Ani-One Asia’s YouTube channel. If you want to watch Crunchyroll from outside your location, try using ExpressVPN to bypass regional restrictions.

After a long hiatus, Jujutsu Kaisen returns with plenty to enjoy. From easy-going interactions to far more serious dangers, the episode balances its elements nicely.

The back half of the episode begins with Yuji and Kugisaki’s meeting. The woman reveals that she’s Ozawa, a former acquaintance of Yuji’s from junior high school. She asks Nobara to help her find Itadori because she’s romantically interested in him. Nobara is hesitant, but she agrees to help her.

Meanwhile, Geto and Mahito meet Kokichi at an undisclosed location. He explains that he gave information to the pair on the condition that they not harm any students from Jujutsu High. Mahito considers dishonoring the pact but decides against it. He also reveals that his Idle Transfiguration was able to bypass the Heavenly restriction on the curse users. This is a promising development. Hopefully, we’ll see more of this later on in the show.
