Tomo has a serious crush on her childhood friend Jun Kubota, but he only sees her as a guy. She tries to make her confession, but it doesn’t get through to him.

In order to win over Jun’s heart, she must learn how to communicate with him. This will require her to become more direct with her words.

Misuzu Gundou

Misuzu Gundou is Tomo's childhood friend and Jun's former girlfriend. She has a supportive role in Tomo and Jun's relationship, but she's also cold and twisted.

Despite her cold and twisted personality, Misuzu is a beautiful woman who has inherited her beauty from her mother, Misaki Gundou. She loves messing with her friends, and this is seen in how she teases Gorou Aizawa when he had a crush on Akemi.

In addition, she's not afraid to show her emotions in public and often makes Tomo uncomfortable by giving her advice about what to wear and how to act. Fortunately, her actions are not as egregious as they might sound. The only thing that might bother some viewers is that she's always trying to get Tomo to cover up her legs so she doesn't attract perverts on trains.

Eccentric Carol Olston

The school idol Carol Olston is an eccentric and ditzy girl who's become popular amongst males because of her puffy cheeks, doll-like appearance, and her incredibly cheerful personality. She often enjoys teasing people and pushing their boundaries, despite not being physically strong or a very good fighter.

She's also a very strong-willed person and she does not hesitate to step up when it comes to her friends' interests. She always helps Misuzu and Tomo out, which is why it's no wonder she's one of the show's most popular characters.

While many fans may only recognize her as the school idol, Carol is actually more of a character than she's given credit for. She's a strong-willed, persistently cheerful person who's not afraid of anyone, including delinquents and Gorou Aizawa, Tomo's intimidating father.

When she finds out that her best friend has feelings for her, she decides to confess to Jun. This leads to a few soul-stirring moments between the two of them, especially when they watch a romantic film together the day after their grand confession.

Junichiro Kawaguchi

Tomo-chan, who always wants to see herself as a 'girl', is trying to make her childhood friend Junichiro Kubota realize it. However, she seems to be failing.

In this episode 13 preview, Tomo and Junchiro have a discussion about their relationship and their feelings towards each other. It's an interesting conversation that shows us how they view each other as human beings and not just cute critters!

It's a cute story of friendship that shows the importance of being true to yourself. It's also a touching love story that will make you smile!

The anime is based on the popular slapstick comedy manga of the same name by Kei Kawaguchi. If you're a fan of the comics, you won't want to miss this one! Hit the jump to learn more about it!

Kosuke Saito

Tomo has been head over heels in love with her childhood friend, Jun Kubota, but he only sees her as "one of the guys." She tries to win his heart numerous times in vain.

However, he always comes back to her with a firm, "No." He's also been very possessive of her since they started high school. This has made her act more melancholic than usual.

Her father, Gorou, is very strict with her and raises her to be a true martial artist. But he is also very sensitive to her feelings for Jun, and gets nervous when he realizes that she might be having romantic thoughts for him.

When midterm exams come up, she invites her friends Misuzu and Carol to study with her at her house. They meet her mother, who bares a strong resemblance to Tomo but looks more tomboyish.
