Oshi No Ko Episode 4 Preview Hints at Aqua's New Role In The Series

The preview of Oshi No Ko episode 4 hints that Aqua will continue to work as an actor. He will be working with Kana Arima, who is a talented child actress.

1. Aqua’s Acting Skills

Doga Kobo released a preview image for Oshi No Ko episode 4 at Anime Boston on April 12. The synopsis for the episode mentions that Aqua agrees to act in a drama produced by Masaya Kaburagi, whom he found out was one of Ai’s secret contact list from her old cell phone.

Kana is excited to see Aqua acting again and encourages him to give it a try. He agrees to star in the drama as the villain, despite his lukewarm feelings about acting.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Miyako watch the show and are shocked by how bad it is. They think that the actors act really badly and that the story is over-contrived to fit manga chapters into few episodes.

But Aqua doesn’t seem to care at all about this, as long as he can collect Masaya Kaburagi’s DNA sample under suspicion that he’s his father. In fact, he’s even willing to take on a role that doesn’t pay much to advance his career.

2. Aqua’s Character Development

The preview of Oshi No Ko episode 4 has been released and the episode promises more drama and shocks. Specifically, we will see how Aqua continues to develop his acting skills and how he helps Kana shine in her role.

Oshi No Ko is a supernatural crime-solving manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020 and was adapted into an anime series in 2023.

When Gorou is murdered by an obsessive fan, he is reincarnated as Ai Hoshino’s son Aquamarine, who retains his memories of his previous life and language skills. Ai’s twin sister, Ruby, is also a reincarnation, but she refuses to acknowledge her previous identity as one of Goro’s patients.

3. Aqua’s Relationship with Kana

Aqua meets Kana in school and they rekindle their friendship. He still doesn’t understand why she likes him but she does seem to appreciate his acting skills and his willingness to work hard at it.

They also spend time together when she invites him to a karaoke bar and her place. They have a great time and talk about their mutual interest in movies.

She mentions how she used to be a great child actress but had to settle for something else after facing a rough patch. She doesn’t want to give up on her dream even if it’s taking a back seat right now.

The director recalls the time when they acted in a manga’s live adaptation and reminisces about the child star they used to be. She wonders how she managed to stay in the industry.

4. Aqua’s Revenge

Despite the fact that Ruby is trying to make her mark in the entertainment industry, Aqua has one goal in mind and that is to avenge his mother’s death. He is determined to track down his father and kill him.

This thirst for revenge is one of the main themes in Oshi No Ko. The anime revolves around the lives of two twins who are the biological children of pop idol Ai Hoshino, who was killed by a yandere fan at age 20.

In episode 3, Kana Arima offered Aqua a chance to act in a TV drama. In the process, he also collected some saliva samples from a producer on the set, which helped him discover that the man had connections to his mother’s death.

In the next episode, we’ll see Kana and Aqua reunite, rekindling their friendship. They will be working on a new film together and the preview for this episode indicates that they are both excited about it.
